CTR for Roundup Reviews
A couple of years ago I paid one of the best affiliate marketers in the game $2,000 for a one-hour consulting call.
What was one big takeaway?

HOW TO OPTIMIZE REVIEWS FOR CONVERSIONS
One of the biggest takeaways from the call was the simple fact that you can't control Google.
Even if you do everything right, there is a lot of randomness to it and sometimes you just need to focus on what you can control i.e. your website.
I think a lot of affiliate marketers focus entirely on content and links but we forget about design.
And design can help CTR and conversions tremendously.
So allow me to share with you my biggest tips.
1. First impressions matter
You want the site to look trustworthy as soon as someone lands on your page.
Clearly show your authors and any expertise by them
2. Ditch the Featured Image
While I personally like them, visitors just want to get to the answer to their problem ASAP
3. No one reads your introductions
Keep these to 100 words or less. We try and do 50 words or less a lot of the time.
Take a look at the screenshot below from: https://www.investopedia.com/best-personal-loans-4773300
Investopedia has all of the above points down to a T.
I would make the intro a little shorter but for the most part, this is how I like to structure pages these days.
4. Always include a comparison table or Top 3 box at the top of the page.
You'll be amazed at how many people get on your page and just immediately go to your pictures of products and click, or don't.
Side note - I personally prefer a Top 3 box as on mobile a comparison table with 10 different products is just too much without actually getting into the meat of your article.
5. Include a "best budget" option within your Top 3 box.
When I look at my CTR on products, I would say 50% of people click the number one option and 30% click on the best budget option.
This changes depending on the cost of the products and the price sensitivity of your audience, but I do believe this to be a best practice.
6. Product boxes
Even if you don't have custom images of products, grab photos of the products online.
If you don't have images of products you can always search for the product on Facebook marketplace and "borrow" an image of someone trying to sell it.
7. Pros and Cons
Put your call to action button right next to the "Pros" so that people can easily read them and then go and buy
Always use the words "Click for Best Price" within your call to action button as it signals to the visitor that the button will take them to the best price on the internet.
That's it!
If you do the 8 above points, I can almost guarantee that you will see your CTR increase
If you test this out and don't see an increase in clicks...
